Program Overview
Passaic Valley Water Commission is committed to providing clean and reliable drinking water to all customers. Our records indicate that there are lead and galvanized steel service lines in Clifton, Passaic, Paterson and Prospect Park. PVWC will be removing these service lines by 2025, before the 2031 state mandate. We are committed to working with these communities to reach every resident who may have a lead or galvanized steel pipe and educate them about why they need to replace that pipe.
This website explains how to find out if you have a lead or galvanized steel service line and what to expect if you need to replace your service line. It also outlines actions you can take to reduce your exposure to lead in drinking water, and where to go if you have questions.

Once you have found your address, click on the dot representing your property and follow the instructions presented on the left side of the screen. Different types of service line material will require different follow-up actions.
