PVWC Lead Service Line Replacement Program

Passaic Valley Water Commission Lead Service Line Replacement Program is coming to an end in January 2025.  Click the button below to sign up. Renters AND homeowners are eligible to participate.

Program Overview

Passaic Valley Water Commission is committed to providing clean and reliable drinking water to all customers. Our records indicate that there are lead and galvanized steel service lines in Clifton, Passaic, Paterson and Prospect Park. PVWC will be removing these service lines by 2025, before the 2031 state mandate. If you live in these towns, removing your lead or galvanized steel service line is FREE and REQUIRED by law. Renters and homeowners are eligible to participate.

This website explains how to find out if you have a lead or galvanized steel service line and what to do if you need to replace your service line. It also outlines actions you can take to reduce your exposure to lead in drinking water, and where to go if you have questions.
